Abstract Guidelines for 21st NZISACON
Greetings from the Organising Committee of 21st NZISACON!!
We invite you to submit and showcase your research work as podium presentations or E-posters for the upcoming 21st North Zone ISACON.
Guidelines for Submission of Abstract

Abstracts must be original and must not have been published.

Abstracts should be submitted through the email abstractnzisacon2025@gmail.com only.

Abstract content should be in English and should not exceed 250 words (excluding Author & Co-Author Names, Affiliations, ISA number (If member of ISA), Registration ID, Title, Table & References).

Only one Table/Image can be Submitted with the abstract.

Abstracts must be uploaded only in MS-Word (.doc or .docx) format.

All the abstract submissions (paper and poster) should include the following details:

Institute/Medical College

Bonafide certificate submitted (In case of Post Graduates/ Fellows): Yes/No

All correspondence will be done with presenting author only

Last date for submission of abstract for paper and poster presentation is November 30, 2025.
Presentation Categories
-
Paper/poster presentation for Post Graduates/Senior Residents/Fellows.
-
Paper/poster presentation for Practitioners and Consultants Anaesthesiologist.
Award Paper/Poster sessions from the submitted abstracts in both categories will be selected by the Scientific committee/Abstract Committee. Award will be given only to life member of ISA.
Rules & Regulations
For Podium Presentations

Only original research (with ethical clearance) or Case series (with informed consent) are eligible.

Structured abstracts must be submitted within 250 words under the following headings:

Title
-
Background and Objectives of the study
-
Material and Methods
-
Results
-
Conclusion
-
One Table/Image as applicable
-
Two references in Vancouver style
-

Abstract file name should be labelled as name of presenting author followed by research in case of research article. Abstract file name should be labelled as name of presenting author followed by case series in case of case series.
For E-Poster Presentations
-
Original research (with ethical clearance), Case series (with informed consent), and Case reports (with informed consent) can be submitted.
-
Guidelines for Original research article abstract will be the same as per podium presentation.

Case report /Case series abstracts must be submitted within 250 words under the following headings:

Introduction

Case report
-
Conclusion
-
One image (if applicable)
-
Two references in Vancouver style

Abstract file name should be labelled as name of presenting author followed by case report in case of case report.
For Both Paper and Poster Presentations
-
Abstracts will be screened and shortlisted through a blinded peer review process.
-
Rights of acceptance/rejection rests with the scientific committee.
-
If your abstract is selected for presentation during the conference, you will be informed by email.
-
For paper presentation, 5 minutes will be allotted to present the scientific paper in PowerPoint format followed by a Q&A session for a further 2 minutes. (7 minutes per session).

For poster presentation, 3 minutes will be allotted to present the E-poster followed by a Q&A session for a further 2 minutes. (5 minutes per session).

Eligibility Requirements

Junior residents, Senior residents, Fellows, Practitioners and Consultants are eligible for participation.
-
Only the first author will be the Presenting Author.
-
The presenting author must be mandatorily registered for 21st NZISACON.
-
All abstracts submitted by PGs/ Fellows should be authorized with a PG/ Fellow Bonafide Certificate from the Head of the department. The scanned document/picture MUST be attached with the submitted abstract.

The abstract committee reserves the right to ask for any relevant document during the process of screening. In case of any disagreement, the final decision lies with the scientific committee.
